Handcrafted in a rural family-run workshop on Ireland’s wild west coast, each flower press is designed to capture many years of botanical memories.

This heirloom flower press is built from sturdy birch plywood. The top board features creamy sycamore veneer, which has been crown cut to capture the character and life of the wood grain, and then engraved with our wild Irish hare. It all fits together with solid brass hardware, which will burnish over time with a natural patina, becoming lovelier with each passing year.

All the wood we use in our flower presses is sustainably sourced from Forest Stewardship Council forests, where every harvested tree is replanted.

Your flower press comes with 4 cardboard separators and 4 precious sheets of thick, highly absorbent blotting paper, so you are ready to press your first flowers the day it arrives.

We’ve also included a lovely cotton canvas carrying bag with extra long handles to allow you to carry your flower press over your shoulder when foraging, and a small matching drawstring bag for carrying your snips without scratching your beautiful flower press as you’re happily tromping through the hedgerows. Finally, we’ll add a sample size of the natural beeswax polish I recommend. It is made here in Kerry, smells amazing, and brings out the natural lustre of the wood. A light beeswax buffing every four months will keep your flower press happy and well fed, protecting and nourishing it so that it can bring you joy for many years.

Your Flower Press will be shipped to you in a natural brown cardboard box, nestled safely and snuggly in recycled shredded cardboard.
